Inclement Weather Policy

  • If Baltimore County Public Schools are closed due to inclement weather, all classes will be canceled.  Any additional changes regarding closures will be sent through email and our social media accounts.  Please likes us on                  to stay current on closures and events.

School Policies

Missed Classes:  There are no make-up classes for missed classes.  Virtual is always an option to participate in class with proper notice to the business staff.  At least 2hrs before class is requested for zoom participation.

Class Times:  Classes begin and end on time.  However, included in-class time is a transition between classes for sanitation

​

Cancellations:  We reserves the right to cancel any class with an enrollment of fewer than three students

​

Lobbies and Waiting Areas:  Students and visitors must conduct themselves quietly and politely while in class and waiting for class in the lobbies and bathrooms.  The lobbies should not be used as space for playdates or meetings.  Each student/family must dispose of their trash responsibly to keep EMpowered clean for everyone to enjoy.

Drop-off and Pick-up:  Students should not arrive more than 5 minutes before the start of class.  Students MUST BE picked up on time.

Zero-tolerance:  EMpowered Dance & Wellness Center is a zero-tolerance zone for harassment of any kind.  Please report violations of this policy to the Faculty and/or staff immediately.  

​

Level Placement:  The studio is developed upon a strict syllabus.  Initially, students will be placed according to age and proficiency.  After viewing the dancer in class, adjustments will be made accordingly.

Permission to Use Photographs

  • Student pictures and videos are taken throughout the year for purposes of marketing and promoting EMpowered Dance Center.  Parent/Guardian permission is granted with registration unless otherwise expressed to the business staff.
